The APEX Awards and sponsoring organization Communications Concepts have been recognizing professional communicators worldwide for 28 years. This is an annual competition with more than 1,600 entries in 2016.

STC Competitions evaluate and recognize contributions to the technical communications profession. To qualify for the STC International Competition, an entry must begin at the local or regional level and win a Distinguished Technical Communication award or Award of Excellence. Entries are evaluated for the communication of business, scientific and technical information with respect to content, purpose, execution, creativity and more.
